* The Sächsische Schweiz (English: Saxon Switzerland) is a former district (Kreis) in the south of the Free State of Saxony, Germany. Neighboring districts were (from west clockwise) Weißeritzkreis, the district-free city Dresden and the districts Kamenz and Bautzen. To the south it bordered the Czech Republic. It is the most mountainous region of Saxony.  - Wikipedia.

  1. Also note a particular. The East Germans, on their maps, never used the form "Tschechoslowakei" for Czechoslovakia, but "ČSSR".

  2. Yes, it was then Československá socialistická republika (ČSSR) - Czechoslovak Socialist Republic.
