* Erebuni is a district of Yerevan, the capital of Armenia. It is situated southeast of the city centre where Erebuni Fortress (782 B.C) is located. The name of Yerevan itself is derived from Erebuni. Erebuni Fortress, also known as Arin Berd (the "Fortress of Blood") is a fortified city from the ancient kingdom of Urartu. It was one of several fortresses built along the northern Urartian border and was one of the most important political, economic and cultural centers of the vast kingdom.
* Etchmiadzin Cathedral = Mother Cathedral of Holy Etchmiadzin is a 4th century Armenian church in the town of Ejmiatsin, Armenia. It is also the central cathedral of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin of the Armenian Apostolic Church. Etchmiadzin Cathedral is listed among the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The Etchmiadzin Cathedral is the oldest state-built church in the world. The original vaulted basilica was built in 301-303 by Saint Gregory the Illuminator when Armenia became the first officially Christian country in the world.
* A khachkar or khatchkar (cross-stone) is a carved, cross-bearing, memorial stele covered with rosettes and other botanical motifs. Khachkars are characteristic of Medieval Christian Armenian art found in Armenia. The most common khachkar feature is a cross surmounting a rosette or a solar disc.
* Tsaghkadzor means "valley of flowers" in Armenian. The city is located 50 kilometers north of Yerevan.
* Matenadaran = The Mesrop Mashtots Institute of Ancient Manuscripts is an ancient manuscript repository located in Yerevan, Armenia. It holds one of the world's richest depositories of medieval manuscripts and books which span a broad range of subjects, including history, philosophy, medicine, literature, art history and cosmography in Armenian and many other languages.
